In this tournament (also single elimination), they went on to get second losing to Shirousaber (known in Dota as MidOne). Their last tournament of 2016 was TTO IV Losers Tournament hosted by Ichiban (GamsterDeath). The end of Firestorm's run was caused by the structuring of TTOIV, where all sets would be played single elimination until Top 16, leading to the abrupt end of their tournament run.įirestorm's would have more active tournaments participation from this point forward. Firestorm found particular difficulty in keeping up outside of the opener against Aitsu, primarily trying to spam as much APM as possible but struggling with their T-Sin vision. Firestorm commented how they struggled to keep up with a top player like Aitsu due to a lack of experience with high caliber players. They convincingly defeated Sky855 and XeaL before losing to Aitsu_k 5-15 in Top 32. FireStrom was seeded 19th and went on to go 2-1 in their first major tournament appearance. With the return of the biggest Tetris tournament and with a few yeras of training under their belt, Firestorm was already one of the top players in the game.
